I want to expand my "All chapters marines" project to include one Traitor marine for each of the 9 traitor legions.

For reference, this is my project so far:

So I already have a World Eater, Thousand son, Emperors Children and Death Guard marine.
Now I need an Iron Warrior, Black legion, Alpha legion, Word Bearer and Night lord

I plan on getting the set of 3 Chaos marines and 3 Loyalist marines (I need another Loyalist for a Blood Raven Tac Marine)
So by mixing and matching their back packs and adding top-knots and spikes, I can use the other 2 Loyalists to get all 5 Chaos Marines I need.

The question is: Which of the 5 will look good in Loyalist armour?
I think the Black Legion marine needs to be 100% Chaos.
Which 2 will look good in Loyalist armour with Chaos back pack?
Which 2 will look good in Chaos armour with Loyalist back pack?

This is purely personal but Alpha Legion should be loyal as there whole stick is playing dress up (maybe I was too cynical there but oh well).
Word Bearers being all corrupt, chaos marine.
For Iron warriors and night Lords It's you're call but I lean towards Iron warriors as loyalist.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking along the same lines.
I could probably do the Alpha legions model entirely in loyalist armour (back pack and all) and use metallic blues and greens for him.

So this is likely what I'll do:
Black legions - all chaos w/ horns
Alpha legion - all loyalist (maybe spikes added)
Word bearer- all chaos w/ horns
Iron Warrior- loyalist body with top-knot & spikes added/ chaos back pack
Night Lord- chaos body with wings added to the helmet/ loyalist backpack

Those are the top 3. Though I have seen a very impressive "clean" Death guard army that used all mk3 armor marines from the 30k range that looked great and very unique.

I'm also currently painting my primaris marines up as some Sons of Malice that I'll either use as more chaos or just use as primaris rules with my own unique spin on them.

Change of plans guys, I'm going to get a box of 10 CSM and a box of Termies.

I realized how cool it would be to get enough models in both Loyalist and Chaos Marines to make a Chess set.
