Subject: [2000] - Drukhari - Feedback request on two competitive lists
I have two main Dark Eldar lists that I was wondering if people could take a look at. My local meta is pretty much entirely Chaos Space Marines, Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Imperial Guard (One player spams tanks, the other is Militarium Tenpestus), an Imperial Fists player, an Untera Marines player and a couple of Ork and Tau players that turn up every now and then.
Basically looking for ways to improve these lists in a Chaos and Imperial Guard (Expect Tanks or Scions, not Conscript blobs).
Also I have a pretty big Craftworlds army, and a growing Harlequins army plus all of the Ynnari characters so I'm open to going Aeldari instead of pure Drukhari.
List 1 - Man Mode Drukhari AKA "We are using that 2+ to hit in combat, dammit!"
In this list the idea is that each Incubi Squad takes a Raider with a Kabalite squad accompanying them, the HQ units then hop in the raider with the 8-elf squad to help support the Wyches. Razorwing and Ravagers go vehicle and monster hunting. The only unit I'm not sure on are the Trueborn, I have never had them achieve much more than scratching the paint on a Leman Russ while the Ravagers and Razorwing are Death Incarnate. I'm wondering if they are worth dropping for a blob of Scourges with Shardcarbines, or drop them in favour of another Kabalite squad (keeping the Venom) and a bunch of Razorwing Flocks to help screen my transports. Heck I'm tempted to even drop them in favour of a Shadow Spectre unit who do serious work whenever I bring my Craftworlders. Heck, it's even tempting to find a way to squeeze in some Sslyths so the Archon can tank for the Incubi via blatant Pile-In abuse.
Either way, the Trueborn never seem to earn thier point back. Ever. Unless that Tau player turns up, then they eat battlesuits for breakfast.
Also while close combat isn't the primary aim of the list, every unit is able to fight in close combat if called upon it.
I would prefer to keep the Incubi if possible as I spent a lot of time converting the Klaivex. If they do not work I won't lose sleep over dropping them, they can be used for casual games.
List 2 - Venom Rush AKA "I'm still playing 5th Edition"
The aim is to basically drown my opponent in saves from all of the Splinter and Darklight fire. There isn't really anything complicated to explain. That said I do own a Voidraven so I'm wondering if it's worth finding a way to make room for a Voidraven in the Air Wing. Honestly this one has been the more successful list because of the sheer volume of fire though it is pretty vulnerable to Alpha Strikes. As soon as those transports get popped. I find the Splinter Cannons more useful than the Twin Rifles because I face a lot of Melta and the extra range lets me keep skirting outside the effective range of all Melta carrying units while not losing any firepower. Every time I use twin Rifles I tend to lose the Venom/Razorwing the second I can actually Rapid Fire it.
This list is hilariously effective against the Death Guard and Thousand Sons guys to the point where they refuse to play against it so it does have that going for it as well. Plus it is the most Dark Eldar list I can come up with and what kind of Dark Eldar player doesn't like cackling evilly when the other player sees your list?

The second one is more competitive, pure drukhari shooting lists are quite powerful and you have a good amount of anti infantry weapons and anti tanks. It's a boring way to play them though and the first list looks way more interesting.
I'm not a fan of trueborn either and since you already have tons of lances and blasters I'd suggest to take some anti infantry unit or another assault oriented squad, maybe grotesques switching the archon with an haemonculus and the trueborn's venom with another raider.

I had been pondering adding Grotesques to the list actually; I'm glad to have looked for a second opinion!
If I drop the Trueborn and Archon and trim the larger Kabalite Squad down to 5 then I come up with this:
While I could drop the second Cannon from the Venom and kit out the Haemonculus, a little 5-Elf unit in a Venom is really nice for grabbing objectives.
Another variant of the list would drop the a Kabalite unit and Venom entirely and switch some of the DLs for Disintegrator Cannons which is very tempting as it lets me pick between 4 Grots or 10 Scourges with Carbines. My local meta is MEQ and IG Tank list heavy, and Dissies can still do work against vehicles due to the sheer volume of fire.
