I'm trying to figure out a semi-competitive list to play with the Death Guard and this is what came to mind after looking around at what everyone else is building and my own brainstorming.

Death Guard Batallion:

HQ:

Typhus:
- Curse of the Leper, Plague Wind

Malignant Plaguecaster (x2):
- Blades of Putrefaction
- Putrescent Vitality

Troops:

Plague Marines (x2):
- x5 Marines w/ boltguns
- x2 Blight Launchers
- Plague Champion with a Plasma Gun

Poxwalkers (x2):
- x20 Poxwalkers

Elites:

Biologus Putrifier

Foul Blightspawn

Fast Attack:

Myphitic Blight-Hauler

Super-Heavy Auxiliary Detatchment:

Mortarion:
- Blades of Putrefaction, Curse of the Leper, Miasma of Pestilence

Chaos Space Marines Patrol Detatchment:

HQ:

Daemon Prince with Wings:
- Nurgle
- Malefic Talon x2
- Warp Time

Troops;

Chaos Cultists:
- 9 Cultists
- Champion with an autogun

Total Points: 1999

How I see this army working is that the blobs of Poxwalkers are buffed by Typhus and the Plaguecasters while acting as a screen for the Plague Marines to make it up the field in which they can throw their grenades, all while the Blight-Hauler gives the Poxwalkers a bit more resilience in terms of the cover save.

While the previously mentioned plan is in motion, Mortarion does what he does (which also means hopefully not die) and gets up in the opponents face alongside the Daemon Prince giving him Warp Time.

The cultists are there to fill a slot and sit on a back objective, hopefully undisturbed, but will most likely be cannon fodder.

The only real issues I see with this list are somewhat the lack of heavy firepower besides the Melta on the Blight-hauler, as well as late game claiming objectives. That being said, I would have to push to break up the opponent, in which my force would hopefully be able to spread safely towards the objectives at that point.

Any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated as I would love to hear what you guys have to say!
