I wanted to make a Guardian themed list since I bought so many to use as Black Guardians/Pale Courts Guardians back in 7th, both of which are not present in 8th:( I absolutely love making lists that perfectly fit into the limits, so this list is exactly 100 Power, and 2000 Points.

- Avatar
- Farseer: Guide, Doom

- 20 Guardians: 2 Bright Lances
- 20 Guardians: 2 Bright Lances
- 8 Storm Guardians: 1 Flamer, 1 Fusion
- 8 Storm Guardians: 1 Flamer, 1 Fusion

- 3 Windriders: 3 Shuriken Cannons
- 3 Windriders: 3 Shuriken Cannons

- 2 War Walkers: 3 Bright Lances, 1 AML

- 2 Wave Serpents: Both with Twin Shuriken Cannons, and Underslung Shuriken Cannons

Spearhead (1CP):

100 PL, 2000 pts

I tried to include all the Guardian elements while still being able to hold it's own in pickup games. 2 Characters with Conceal (for redundancy in case of snipers) as well as the Avatar hide in the Guardian blob and push midfield. Avatar gives them all immunity to Morale and can't be shot, Warlock's conceal gives -1 to hit for a little added defense. Serpents speed forward into the opponent's face. If the storms can hop out and flame something, great. Otherwise they're basically just there to charge something and prevent it from shooting me, as well as mess with target priority and hopefully draw some fire away from the rest of my army. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

I was toying around with trying to fit another unit of 20 Guardians with Bright Lances in there, but I was having difficulty getting it to add up to 100pl/2kpts.

Looking for comments, criticisms, or if you can come up with a better 100pl/2kpts guardian army, lemme see it!

I would drop the spirit seer and find points for a farseer.
With that much shuriken on the table you really need doom.
Also you might struggle at killing armour. Maybe take a fusion gun on one or both of the storm squads?
Rangers would be an easy cut as well. They are expensive for what they bring. But not unplayable.

I think that is pretty great advice, and it turns out I can do it all and still stay at exactly 100PL/2kpts!

- Droped the Spiritseer and Rangers
- Added Farseer and second Warlock
- Added one fusion gun to each Storm Guardian unit


The downside now is that I have absolutely no defense against deep striking armies, as I have no Rangers for area denial during their movement phase drops. If my opponent is going for a drop army I will most likely sacrifice my storm guardians out front to block, which isn't much of a loss. Thanks for your critique!

Could always split the 20 man guardian squads into 2x10 man squads. Then just bubble wrap with layer upon layer of guardians. Also gives the flexibility for the guardians to go in the wave serpent if you want.
