So it is my belief that the Necrons will have a release this year, including multiple new kits and Book.
The Ctan, Flayed ones, Destroyers, character's Vargard Obyron, Nemesor Zahndrekh, Orikan the Diviner, Illuminor Szeras,
Anrakyr the Traveller and the Cryptek are all out of stock, many have been out of stock for over a few months.
I can confirm a purchase I had made for Anrakyr the Traveller was cancelled and I was advised this product was discontinued.
Maybe I'm jumping the gun but with all the stock shortages for multiple Necron models leads me to the only conclusion that GW plan to faction focus them shortly with some nice new models.

I can confirm that many Necron kits are no longer available, but the same goes for Dark Eldar where Incubi, Mandrakes and Beastmasters need new kits and some are no longer available.

A lot of product is going 'Out of Stock - No Longer Available' as it is being reboxed for 8th edition. It has nothing to do with when the army is receiving a new codex. GW has already stated that Craftworld Eldar and Tyranids come out after the Astra Militarum.

I don't get it, where are the rumors? Or the news? Don't threads like these require some sort of actual information to be considered worthwhile?

Almost if not all finecast has been getting discontinued since 8th dropped across all factions. Necrons have a lot of finecast characters.

Something, anything going out of stock does not mean it's going to be replaced by an updated kit. People have been posting stuff like that for ages, out of stock means nothing. Only that their production capacity is focused on the new armies and models being released in large numbers and they cannot replenish the other stock quick enough. They are a UK company and do not have the capacity to keep everything in stock at all times anymore.

Necrons will be next year I think or very end of this year at best.

AM, Nids, and Eldar. Then I suspect Thousand Sons and Space Wolves.

So this is another "product out of stock = imminent new release" non-rumor? These are starting to get as common as the "zomg GW raised their prices - oh wait, I'm on the NZ page" used to be.

Well, I think we've gotten used to GW dropping 2-4 new kits every time they drop a codex back from 6th & 7th, and culling the codex models for things that were going to get their rules dropped. So people now have a pavlovian response when models aren't available - it must mean new codex time!

If GW would put up a catalog of upcoming releases say about 6 months ahead of the release date instead of a week, maybe we wouldn't have so many knee-jerk reactions.

And y'know, people might save up for stuff - kinda like I saw folks do for 8th.

Even if GW put up a statement of their entire releases for the whole year, people will still have these kneejerk reactions. It'll just be "oh they're lying" or "oh it's just after this year" and so forth.

People like to grasp at straws, especially if they can be the first to get some salacious news.

As Lance845Made noted it was down to the finecast heroes, which from what I have been advised are not being re stocked/ supplied.
I put this in the general discussion thread, as I was wondering if anyone else had heard anything, now I know finecast seems to be phased out, is it know what they are replacing finecast with?

That was down to my belief something must be coming as we still have the rules for these characters.
the units are pure speculation but the Flayed ones have need a redo for a while, there to expensive for what you get (blister of 5) for about $40 dollar mark.
