I'm not picking until I've seen the official wording on each.
What's the "Craftworld" option supposed to represent?

Alaitoc, if it's the same as the "leak" is definitely getting my vote. It not only fits thematically but also helps the survivability of Eldar Snipers.

I will say that the Biel Tan one is dumb. I get to enhance 4 of my 9 Aspect units and two of them are using Shuriken pistols. How amazing...

Just in case people are wondering, here's the other Craftworlds via rumour mill:
I'd say the Siam Hann one is pretty great. Bring back Scatbikes and having a million non-armour-ignoring shots will do well to help with crowd control.

No idea...if I'm honest none of them really speak to me. At this point I'm more concerned about cost/price drops, better spells, and a few fixed units/wargear. The traits are borderline irrelevant.

I assumed there would be a generic craftworld attribute to avoid every Aeldari list being a template of one of the big five? Maybe battle focus will become an attribute rather than special rule? Or maybe not?

Oh wow, I didn't realise the others had been leaked. Though I notice the wording isn't exact - like +1 Ld when it should say specific to Aspect units - so it will be good to get it from official sources.

We haven't seen anyhting to that effect. Has there been an equivalent in any of the other codices?
I know in Space Marines there isn't.

the wording being different gives me hope that the Saim-Hann trait doesn't just apply to Jetbikes. The reroll charges part may, but it would make sense if the whole army did not suffer the -1 to hit for moving with Heavy weapons. It would make the non-Serpent tanks appealing....or make Bright-lance Serpents better.

Saim Hann attribute Would also benefit Wraithlords, allowing them to move up the board and still fire at full effect.
For me it's gonna be all about Alaitoc and allowing my army to get close taking less casualties on the way. Looking at you WarpSpiders and Shadow Spectres!

As long as their is some form of deployment shenanigan (like a Webway stratagem), I'll be happy. Having to deploy everything just to have it blown off the table before doing anything is infuriating.

I don't play elder and have remarkably never even played against them after all this time.but i feel these traits are kind of lazy. After ig getting some really well thought out and unique traits, this stuff seems kinda a clone from the other codex stuff. What do eldar players think?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

On the one hand, yes it is a copy-paste job and just seems lazy On the other hand, how else do you achieve balance if not by giving all factions access to the same set of "free" bonuses. I am fine with it -

Good lord, Saim-Hann is terrible.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

These seem, uninspired, lazy and lacking flavor. The rest of the codex should be... interesting... my money is on lazy as flying floundering flatulence.
Have they turned craftworld into the vanilla elf faction? Would you like vanilla elf? We gotz us lots of vanilla elf up in here.

But only if it applies solely to Jetbikes. If the part about not suffering -1 to hit applies to more units, it is at least on par with the other 3 that aren't that best one.

God, I hope these aren't the case. If it is, though, then it means the Craftworld codex contains even more copy-paste rules from the other released codexes.

Which helps my Biel Tan army in exactly no way. It's pretty badly done considering the 'Biel-Tan' trait is better suited to being an Ulthwe trait..

Iyanden is quite nice and fairly generally useful.
Ulthwe is probably the strongest as a flat 6+++ to every single model in the army is always going to be handy.
Biel Tan is probably the worst as the bonuses affect only a subset of models and are not that great.
Saim Hann will be OK if the ignoring -1 to hit applies to units other than Bikes.
Alaitoc will be nice for Rangers and Reapers but most Eldar infantry want to be close to the enemy. I can see a Spearhead detachment of the 3 MSU Dark Reaper Units and a Warlock with Conceal being a popular option.
The big question is whether the Alaitoc trait just applies to infantry. If it applies to other units then it will go from "nice" to "Holy Superlatives Batman!". Imagine a Hemlock with -3 to hit! Even a -1 to hit on vehicles and Wraith units would be incredible. We won't know for sure about this until Friday.
As it stands I would rate the Traits as follows:
1 Ulthwe
2 Iyanden
3 Alaitoc
4 Saim Han
5 Biel Tan
If the Alaitoc trait applies to infantry units than I think that will jump into 1st place.
Remember that it is not just Traits though. Stratagems and Warlord Traits are also a factor to consider and we have only seen a few of those so far.

-
I would agree with this, if all armies were given options from the same pool of copy/paste traits.
This didn't happen though. Imperial Guard was given a huge selection of traits, each of them with a seperate trait for infantry and vehicles. Each one has a variety of fluffy rules and abilities, and adds a sizable buff in the power of the army in the direction that particular trait is aimed.
Eldar traits do none of this. They're a mild and minor buff to an army at best. If the IG codex didn't exist, it would be fine. But it does.
Edit:
IT will be Either Ulthwe or Alaitoc as the best, depending on the wording on the Alaitoc trait. If it effects every unit, then I think over the course of a game the -1 to hit would add more survivability than the 6+++. Someone will have to do the maths, but in other armies so far the -1 to hit has always come out on top. However, if it only works on specific units, then it will depend on your army composition.
I suspect the best option (and probably what I will run) is two detachments -
Brawlers and Short-Range units = Ulthwe
Long range fire support = Alaitoc

-1 to hit over 12" would absolutely be better. That's really tough, though you'd have to build an entire Eldar force around it, because Eldar have two ranges:
1) Too close.
2) Slightly less close.
And to be Alaitoc you'll have to get Rangers to be worthwhile and not wildly overpriced garbage Or, oddly the Alaitoc craftworld trait will be used on tanks and Wraithknights instead of actual rangers and scouts.
