Hi,

Taurox Prime can be used both as a dedicated transport for Scions, or as fast attack units. Do all "dedicated transports" be used as fast attack?

I'd like to use a bunch of Chimeras to secure objectives, but I don't want too many infantry units (I have a tank heavy army list).

Do the Chimera go as Troops or Fast Attack, or can I only use them to transport infantry?

No. Where are you seeing the FA Taurox? Both the Taurox and Taurox Prime are the Dedicated Transport battlefield role.

The term "Dedicated Transport" is a misnomer. It's just a special type of battlefield riole. In the standard detachments, you can include one "Dedicated Transport" for every other unit in the detachment. Those units don't need to be infantry

Chimeras can never be Troops or Fast Attack.

You can use them empty to secure objectives, nothing wrong with that.

As BCB says, they're in the Dedicated Transport role, not one of the other roles. And, as he also points out, taking dedicated transports is now up to one per other unit, not limited to infantry. You can buy a Chimera dedicated transport for your Leman Russ if you wish.
