Question: Can you use the Space Marine auspex scan stratagem against the unit that appears from a Trygon tunnel, aside from the Trygon: I.e., if my opponent bring 30 hormagaunts out of a trygon tunnel within 12", can I shoot the hormagants instead of the Trygon?

Yes, you can. Unlike the drop pod example, a Trygon is not a transport, so the unit that comes from the Trygon's tunnel is unambiguously arriving from reserves.

Just use the stratagem when the Hormagaunts are set up instead of when the Trygon is set up.

That may have cost me a victory this weekend...I thought it worked like the transport, but rereading it afterwards I started to doubt my own judgement.
