I picked up 8 old Chaos bikers, and want to use them as Renegade Legion (Sons of Malice). Since the Renegade Legions can advance and charge, I'm thinking all chainswords, and maybe a pair of lightning claws on the champion. I'd give the Mark of Khorne for the Icon of Wrath (reroll failed charges). Is it better to run 2 or 3 units instead of one big unit for extra special weapons?

What special weapons should I mount on their bikes? I am leaning towards flamers, as after they advance they could still fire the flamers and auto-hit, which gives them an effective shooty range of <28" with those flamers. But should I instead opt for plasma or melta to give them a dual purpose to maybe snuff out some more potent units on the way to their horde controlling charge?

I also have a few of those Dark Vengeance bikes to convert into characters. Probably a Lord with a "Dread-axe" of Blind Fury, maybe a sorcerer too. Besides these I have 30 Malice themed Cultists, so could get a Battalion going. Also have a couple Drop Pods I am probably going to make into Dreadclaws, and Kharybdis in the works.
