Hello all:
I'm working on a mk1 (Deimos) pattern rhino conversion and I'm at the circular side hatches:
I have one side more-or-less done. First I used a protractor-esque stencil tool to get the size I wanted, but scoring it and getting the door out of the panel didn't go nearly as
smoothly as I'd hoped. I then ended up using a 40mm base as a guide and trying to cut around that (as it was only very slightly larger) and got a mildly better result, but it was still rough. I sanded it for over an hour with a sanding stick and sanding needles (though I don't have any files) and I got it pretty good but it still has a few flat spots that I think I can get at with the needles. I still have to try to get the door itself suitable rounded and then rinse and repeat for the other side.
There has to be a better way right? I don't know if I can get a punch that size and I thought about a hole saw but I can't really justify buying either for something I will use 3 more times and then likely never again
lol.
So, any grizzled-types got a trick that might help me out?
