If my chaos char is not a slave to a god ( ie Mark of Khorne or nurgle etc ) I can summon any of the gods Deamons. Right?

Turn 1 summon some bloodletters turn 2 some plague bearers etc.

2nd question. When summoning lets say bloodletters do I get the option to have them come in with icons or instruments?
If so pay the extra from my reinforcement points?

Yes you can summon any god.

You can equip your summons however, but in matched play you pay the points

1) Yes, if you don't have a mark, you can summon any gods daemons. "A CHARACTER who owes allegiance to one of the Dark Gods can only attempt to summon the units of their patron" only restricts guys with a <MARK OF CHAOS>.

2) Yes, you can load them out however you want, but you gotta pay the points.

Keep in mind though that you still have to use Power Level to determine the unit size. Regardless of how many points you spend or models you take, if you want a unit of 10, you need to roll a 4 or more. If you want a unit of 11-20, you need to roll an 8 and for a unit of 21-30 you need to roll a 12.

I just have to name the god though right.

So if I say Khorne and roll a 17 I can get either a bloodthirster or 30 bloodletters or well any thing Khorne as long as I have the points to pay for it.

Correct. You have to pick a god before you roll.

I've been confused about Demonic Ritual.

It's an ability possessed by the summoner, not things being summoned, right? It just needs the Demon keyword, plus any associated God.

No. The opposite. It's an ability possessed by some daemons which allows any chaos character with a corresponding mark or no mark to attempt a summon.

I've been hankering to give this a try too. I noticed in the Forgeworld Chaos book that Gigantic Spawn and Spined Beasts both have the Daemonic Ritual rules, and so does the Daemons Codex Daemon Prince. Then my Daemons of Malal can be appropriately represented on the table!
