Hello all. I'm new to the forums. I wanted to share my newest conversion for a new Black Templars crusade I'm doing and I'm hoping doing it as a blog will keep me motivated as I get things done. I don't play as I don't have the time so I usually spend time over single models and give them a backstory, so don't expect loads of models but hopefully the effort I put into each model is interesting enough.

I actually have quite a bit of backstory and some artwork for the crusade but I'll post photos first before I lose your interest. In short, the crusade have been fighting a long distance away from the rest of the chapter in isolation for over a century. In this time their zealotry has developed into outright fundamentalism and they have turned their nutcase level up to 11. They firmly believe the emperor is a god. I see them akin to Necromunda redemptionists, randomly flipping their lid and purging anyone they decide is a sinner.

This is Marshal Constantius. The idea behind his crown of thorns (which I will paint as barbed wire) is he wears it as a penance for calling himself a leader when only the emperor deserves such idolisation. It pierces his skin every time he moves in combat and reminds him before he gains any pride.

As you can see he still needs a left hand and also the scroll on his back is going to be pinned down with chains.

Thanks very much all.

Just a small update. Tonight I did the chain over the scroll. It's not perfect but should look ok under paint.
