I enjoy painting a variety of demons, and would not want to play mono faction. Is this codex for me?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Your best bet will either be nurgle or tzeentch
Tzeentch wil be shooty and psychic
Nurgle will be hardy and pretty decent in close combat

Sure, I could see a Tzeentch-khorne daemon army working; though not the fluffiest match ups, Tzeentch can bring the psychic buffs and shooting support and Khorne can bring the hammer down with Letter bombs and a useful Skarbrand.

Are you penalised significantly for not running mono god though?
Do you lose out on bonuses if you have mixed detachments, in the way a mixed Chaos Legion detachment would?

Best way to run codex daemons will be a combination of khorne/nurgle/Tzeentch I think.

Yes but you only lose the Daemonic Loci not the God buffs and the locis aren't a deal breaker anyway.
