Fanatic with Madcap Mushrooms

Hey all!
Looking to really up my playtime this year and, having played only a little of 8th so far, was looking to get back into the game in a big way.
As such, I've written a list and was curious to see if anyone has notes for me before I go out and buy it.
Battalion Detachment (Daemons of Chaos)
HQ
Great Unclean One
Doomsday Bell and Bileblade
Blessed with Corpulence
Shrivelling Pox
Virulent Blessing
Corruption
Epidemius
Troops
30 Plaguebearers
Daemonic Icon
Instrument of Chaos
3 Nurglings
3 Nurglings
Fast Attack
6 Plague Drones
Daemonic Icon
Instrument of Chaos
6 Plague Toads
Outrider Detachment (Death Guard)
HQ
Daemon Prince of Nurgle
Pair of Malefic Talons
Blades of Putrefaction
Fast Attack
Foetid Bloat Drone
2x Plaguespitters
Plague Probe
Foetid Bloat Drone
2x Plaguespitters
Plague Probe
Foetid Bloat Drone
2x Plaguespitters
Plague Probe
So, a couple thoughts. It feels a little light on troops, and I'm also worried that it's a little melee-heavy without any real tools to advance up the field (outside of DS stratagem, but with only 7 CP it might be expensive). I'm also not 100% sold on the GUO, as its CC ability seems mild and it's also slow. I'm also worried about dealing with heavier vehicles, like Knights, Primarchs, or other superheavies. However, everything plays well with Epidemius, and I'm confident that the Drones and Toads will be able to hit pretty hard. (Especially with the locus, DP re-rolls, and virulent blessing).
I'm mostly looking to take this down to the FLGS for weekly gaming, but I'd eventually like to angle the list for local tournaments. That being said, any/all advice is appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

I might try this list both with the GUO and with another winged DP swapped in, just to see what you prefer. A little more speed, but less staying power (other than being able to hide him as a character). Looks like a solid list though.

The thing that appeals to me the most about Rotigus is his cost relative to the abilities you gain. On average, the Streams look like a better version of the flail (minus the damage spillover), and Deluge of Nurgle + the extra deny and power seem like a big plus to me.
TBH I'm thinking about running him myself, as I don't find the idea of a melee GUO that appealing. I mostly like the Bell for the minor synergy of bringing back a toad/drone.

Yeah the cost makes a big difference. You have other units to use as hard hitting you don't need the sword

I'd bring two nurgle trees. one you deploy normally then i believe you can deep strike them in, so you can deep strike a second one up to a forward location as needed.

Wouldn't Corruption on the GUO take the place of the Bell?
