Hello all you dakkanauts, I had a project of ulthwe eldar, as a smite spam list, but then I took a closer look at grey knights. These guys has absolutely beast codex, with good stratagems and psychic powers. Only downside is that they cost point-wise so much. Any ways, tried some thing like this;

GREY KNIGHTS BATTALION
-HQ- Grand Master Dreadknight (heavy psycannon, nemesis great sword, dreadfist, teleport) 265
-HQ- Grand Master Dreadknight (heavy psycannon, nemesis great sword, dreadfist, teleport) 265
-T- Strike Squad (5, daemon hammer, psilencer, 4x storm bolter) 130
-T- Strike Squad (5, daemon hammer, psilencer, 4x storm bolter) 130
-T- Strike Squad (5, daemon hammer, psilencer, 4x storm bolter) 130
-E- Paladin Ancient 140
-E- Apothecary 90
-E- Paladin Squad (8, storm bolters) 440
-TP- Razorback (twin lascannon) 120
-TP- Razorback (twin lascannon) 120
-TP- Razorback (twin lascannon) 120

Total 1950

not sure about weapons for Paladin Squad, and 50 points left, but every thing is so expensive. So, any suggestions are welcomed.

I like your list. Changes I'd make would be something like that:
-Drop hammers and psilencers on Strike Squads. All with falchions and storm bolters
-Drop Apothecary and Banner
-Give Hunter Killer Missiles to Razorbacks to help with anti tank
-Get 2 7-man Paladin Squads with falchions and hammers on sergeants
You end up with 2019 points sooo something needs to be dropped. Maybe drop 2 Paladins and get either Banner or Apothecary back?

Theres actually a typo, psilencer should be psycannon, that way they are 130 points. Yeah, I m not sure what strike squad are supposed to do, they are there just to allow other units deep strikes.

Hunter killer missiles could be a good value, thanks for the advise.

I'd much rather that you have a Vanguard of Salamander Dreads than the Razorbacks.

An example:
Spoiler:

GK BATTALION
GMDK, Psilencer, Psycannon, Hammer, Teleport - 290
GMDK, Psilencer, Psycannon, Hammer, Teleport - 290
GKSS, 5x, psycannon - 117
GKSS, 5x, psycannon - 117
GKSS, 5x, psycannon - 117
Paladins, 8x, 2 psilencers, 1 hammer - 469

SALAMANDER VANGUARD
Libby on Bike, Combi-melta, Salamander's Mantle (Veil, Might) - 148
Dread, Missile, Twin las - 145
Dread, Missile, Twin las - 145
Dread, Missile, Twin las - 145

=1983

This gives you better firepower to sit in the back. Salamanders means you won't have to have anyone supporting them, AND they don't degrade. A little slower than the Razors, but overall much better I think.

The Libby is a great combo with DKs--Might of Heroes is amazing on these guys. He can spend the Vanguard CP on his relic.

Speaking of DKs, you absolutely want both guns on those guys. They're a great shooting platform, and with BOTH guns they are an amazing choice for Psychic Onslaught. S5 AP-1 is a great choice to eliminate some Primaris!

Psilencers along with SBs on the Paladins makes them able to clear some chaff before trying to charge a scary monster.

Hammers on Justicars is a waste. Two attacks means he'll hit only once. Falchions are the way to go on PAGK, considering we already have the minimum number of attacks

Well, thanks for the advise, but I m looking for a mono Grey knights with this list. Do you have have experience about playing with salamanders, what works and what does not?

Some things to think about when playing Mono GK, come from the stratagems.

I think you want to maximize what uses strats each turn... for instance, giving one Grandmaster DK the heavy psilencer and psycannon, means he can deep strike (or be gated), use astral aim on himself, and then use the 2CP strat to boost both his weapons.

Since you can't use the same strat on the other DK, maybe swap him for someone like Draigo, who could also arrive/boost something like a full unit of Strike Squad, to also then take advantage of the Psybolt ammo strat... plus, you'll need strikes for the CP anyway, so gotta get that battalion if playing mono.

I also think there's potential to gate a land raider around, FWIW I've had success with that. Two landraiders can also be "anti-meta" depending on what you play against, and if you go crusaders can act as some much-needed horde defense (or even the lascannons can do work if you play lots of big stuff). It can be pretty funny when you gate a land raider behind enemy lines and snipe out a character... and then unload paladins next turn or even purifiers..

Personally, I don't really like Razorbacks... I'd almost prefer a godhammer-pattern landraider over 3 razorbacks, but YMMV.

I don't like normal heavy weapons like psycannons on things.. I think the psycannon isn't good this edition. The psilencers CAN be ok, if you can deep strike (1CP) a purgation squad, and then astral aim them... but if you're already going to do that to the Grandmaster DK, then there's no point;.

I think paladins in units of 3 to maximize the WS 2+ on the paragon is good. With a hammer, he sorta hits like the rest of them, just with more damage output.

You could always play M.A.S.H too, using a trio of apothecaries in a storm raven which are actually pretty impressive, stat-line wise. Plus, if you can trickle them into the fight, spending 1 cp when each one dies to fight upon death (with essentially a hammer-wielding captain's statline) is pretty darn good.

Oh, and I think a "sleeper unit" HQ is actually the Librarian with sanctuary and a staff... he can get a pretty darn good invuln save and be a decent tarpit in cc if you use him right. Plus, being able to smite and cast something like purge soul means he can sometimes stand up to a really nasty, invuln-wielding character, and get damage through while still being somewhat safe.

Finally, try to think of the actual psychic combos you will make use of, and plan your CP usage into your units.
