So what happens if I use Fabius Biles Enhanced Warriors on a unit of Death Guard Poxwalkers. So you start with a unit and roll a D6 for each model and survivor's receive bonus, now as I kill models or use Strategems I gain new models to the unit. do they auto receive bonus or do you think you have to roll D6 for each new unit. Thank you

The unit gains the bonus.
You add models to the unit.
New models will also have the bonus.

I disagree with Captyn_Bob's assessment. Enhanced Warriors grants a bonus explicitly to "the survivors". It's not an ongoing buff to the unit, and there's nothing to suggest it applie to new models generated by Curse of the Walking Pox later in the game.

Yeah, I have to agree with Mr. Shine. It doe say specifically the survivors get the bonus. Any new models that would be added in later would just be normal, new pox walkers. At that point you would have to treat them like any other mixed toughness / saving throw squad which could get messy.

Which there are no universal rules for.

There are no rules for mixed toughness units.

Your interpretation breaks the game. Mine doesnt.

The text says the bonus effects the unit.
Models added to the unit are still "survivors " if your gonna be all pedantic.

The dead walk again doesn't add more poxwalker from killed poxwalkers. RAW later added poxwalkers would receive the bonus, because the unit gets it.

Agree with your interpretation. The 'survivors' bit of the text is largely fluffy and was never going to take into account units that can have the ability to return models. Agree with Bob that added models get the bonus.

Has there been any actual rules/clarifications that can support that the whole unit gets the buff other than "dakka said so?"

No, there hasn't, because the rule is, IMHO clear.

The entire unit gets the bonus, it doesn't matter if more models get added to it later on.

Perhaps in the big March FAQ it will be covered.

I agree with Bob, I think the entire unit gets the buff.

The rule begins with:
"Fabius Bile can enhance one unit of HERETIC ASTARTES
INFANTRY"

It specifically says he enhances the unit. Once the unit has been affected by the stat buff, every model in that unit gets the buff, regardless of whether or not they were there when the buff happened. As a comparison

The rule itself is littered with fluff language. For instance, it says "Only the strong survive Bile's experimental cocktails". This has nothing to do with any rules, there is no "Strong" unit type or keyword, and it has no bearing on the rule itself. Otherwise it could be argued that every poxwalker should die when the rule is used on them, because I wouldn't describe them as "strong". Likewise, there is no "Survivor" model type or keyword, it is simply fluff language to help separate the rule from all the other similar abilities in the game that give units a stat bonus.
