I have a smallish (1500 points or so) Tau army I've been waiting to sell for about the last 6 months. Didn't want to do it during index Tau because I wanted to maximize return.
Think now is the time, or should I wait until after the codex drops?

Wait for the codex to drop.
People are selling Dark Reapers for above retail!

Basically every faction has improved in internal and inter faction balance upon codex release this edition. So yes wait for the codex as chances are that will set them up with a good boost to performance and make them more desirable. That runs the greater chance of things going out of stock and of interest in people buying.
That said the Dark Reapers issue is sort of unique in how good they are coupled with being out of stock - its also expected to be short term (super good units get patched to be lowered in performance to iprove balance)

Wait for the codex and the first competitive lists to arise. As Marmatag said, once people realize the OP units, they will sell like hotcakes.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Like other posters said, the Codex will drop soon. The OP units will sell at the highest price, especially if GW can't keep up with demand.
I would list what you have now. The converse about pricing is also true, demand will totally fall off for anything that's not optimal. Try to sell the army as a lot and see what you get.
