Hi all.

So with the release of the new Ad mech Necron box I can finally make a list I have been pondering with for the last 6 month, namnley a close cimbat Ad mech list.
The idea is to use superior mobility to outmanouvre my opponent and keep my units oit of line of sights and refusing shooting lanes, forcing him to move and prevent charges. Then munch him in close combat.

What do you think about the concept or list? Got one Batallion and one Super Heavy slot fir those nice 9 CP. I think Stygees 7 will be the go to FW to give the dragoons -2 to be hit.

It is an interesting concept, not sure how it will play though I do have some things to say:

because of your focus on close range aggressive combat you might want to re think the forge world dogma. Stygies VIII is a good one however it is only for enemies outside of 12". This will work well for the Vanguards as their weapons are mostly oursdie this range. With the Dragoons it will help them from being killed as they get close but once you start charging it won't be helping. It also would be much help with the infiltrators if you are going to use them aggressively. Ryza might be a good idea for the re roll 1s in the fight phase. Also its warlord trait is real fun. Metalica could also work real well for your vanguard as it allows them to advance and fire at max BS.

Have you thought about the synergy between Armigers and teleporting Lucians instead of Stymies? I wonder if that would give you a little more flexibility

Also that -1 to Toughness is going to help the Armigers get to 2+'s on T7 models but I'm sure you thought of that already too.

Thanks for the input guys. Has really got me rhinking. Also, I managed to tweek the list a bit to get a proper knight. The question is what knight to take. At my points. I can take a Warden with Stormspear rocket or a Naked Crusader with thermo cannon

Quick-fingered Warlord Moderatus






1) You actually don't need a Dominus with such low shooting count. Two Enginseers work better.

2) Cut the Arc Rifles. The base Radium Carbines are actually much better in most cases. Your Dragoons will be the ones taking out vehicles anyway.

3) I would not run more than one large unit of Dragoons because their power lies in the use of the Doctrina stratagem, which you can only use once per turn.

4) You should add the Gauntlet to the Warden. I actually think the cheapo Crusader with TC and AGC is the best combination.

5) The Armiger cost is ridiculous.

Here is actually a list I made awhile back. It might be workable now that Lascannon spam is not everywhere. See if you like it:
