Does anybody have a map of the Imperium which lists locations of Schola Progenium facilities? Or does anybody know any facilities which don’t put out any well known Tempestus Scions? Need to come up with a cool name, which means I need the name of the planet.

Haven’t read those Cain yet, just started reading Eisenhorn. Does Perlia put out any notable Scions already, or do I have full artistic rein?

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

It did mention 'stormtrooper cadets' which amounts to the same thing.

At the same time, pretty much every world, at least every subsector has a scholam - there'll be tens of thousands of them....

Do they have any notable Scion regiments already?

Any planet that has guard tithes should in theory have one. The kids that go to them are all orphaned guard's kids.

I thought they had to be the orphans of high-ranking officers, nobles, or aristocratics?

You might be right, I need to check my sources. Not read the books that deal with the subject for some time.

Edit: you're right, my memory has gone to mush.

I've not got any more recent sources handy, but the original Codex: Sisters of Battle doth state: "The Schola Progenium is responsible for the care and education of orphans of Imperial Servants. From the favoured sons of an Imperial Guard colonel to the children of a scribe posted to a distant world, the Schola Progenium cares for them all. Each diocese contains a number of Schola Progenium habitats.."

According to Lexicanum in the modern Imperium a diocese is typically a single world.

Originally, yes, it was anyone orphaned by imperial service. In the tempestus codex and since, they make out that it's only planetary governors and the like. Given that the scholam fills the ranks of the adepta sororitas, the militarum tempestus and a fair chunk of the arbites and administratum, how many noble's orphans do people think the imperium generates?

I thought I'd read somewhere it was all orphans of imperial service. So that's been retconned now.

Enough for me to make a mostly Militarum Tempestus army eventually.
