for a unit of pink horrors that i have paid points to have blue and brimstones and split the unit how are save roles performed and units removed? Do I have to remove pink horrors from failed wound rolls if i want to use the 4+ invulnerable save. If i want to use the blue horrors as chaff do i have to use the 5+ and if i fail more saves then remaining blue horrors do i then have to remove pink horrors or brimstone horrors?

You have to resolve each models attacks one at a time, you cannot fast roll in this instance. If your horrors are attacked by 5 models with bolters, each bolter's shots have to be resolved individually in full before you can continue on.

That means the first bolter can kill a pink, have it split, then the 2nd bolter can kill a blue, have it split, etc.

Yes but since the toughness is all 3, you can have your opponent roll all dice at once, then just roll the saves one at a time, as soon as you fail a 4+ it splits, then you roll 5+ until you fail etc...

On the topic of Pink Horror splitting, with the new FAQ, the rulebook FAQ has the following adjusted answer:

Q: What about rules that add models to existing units; do I need to pay reinforcement points for those models?
A: No (unless the rule itself says otherwise or adding the models would take the unit above its starting size).

Dos this mean if a unit of Horrors starts with, say, 4 Pink, 4 Blue, and 2 Brimestone Horrors, then you can kill off your Brimstones/Blue's first, and then start using their splitting ability to bring those models back to life at no reinforcement point cost, so long as it doesn't bring the unit over its maximum starting value?

I actually think Pinks splitting does cost points. First of all, the codex "says otherwise", and secondly the starting size is 10 pink, 0 blue and 0 brimstone, so adding blues would be taking it above the starting number of blues.
Matched Play: In matched play you must pay reinforcement points for each and every Blue and Brimstone Horror model that you add to a unit of Horrors, but the additional models can take the unit above its starting strength.
