I am currently building a list to play against a couple of mates, we are all hell bent on using our biggest things too. (2 guys are running that big Magnus Model).

So I ask you what is the best way to play a Stormsurge in a 1000 points list.
Note: These will be objective missions with 6 objectives. For each objective I hold a turn I get 1vp + 1 for slay the warload, linebreaker, firstblood

I have come up with a few ideas. Some include:

a bunch of 5 men fw squads with a ml each, and supporting ethereals + cadre + commanders
a few elites, 2 stealth squads and a battlesuit squad along with drones and commander
or just a fug ton of drones + commaders and drone controllers


I do have ideas of replacing the Stormsurge with 3 broadsides. Which might be a better option with that +2 save and that I can spread them out.

I did notice that the stormsurge is pretty weak on taking out heavy armour. Maybe with that sept trait that gives them +6" might help out for the shotgun weapon. But I am unsure what would be better a dedicated ammout of shots + wounds or the chance to roll 6 hits and for each of those hits, 6 damage.

Of course, with each list I have tried to fit in shield drones and at least 6 ml.
