Hi Guys

Last night a mate and I had a bit of an argument, his Chaptermaster with jump pack Thammer and Shield Eternal took D3 mortal wounds from Mortarions ability I rolled a 4 meaning he takes 2 mortal wound.

My understanding is each mortal wound does 1 damage and the single dice roll meaning he takes 2 wounds isn't halved by the shield which states it halves the damage.

Could I get your guys input it became fairly heated as 2 wounds was the kill and one meant he could swing to try to kill Morty who was on 3 wounds.

We ended up flipping a coin for it as we were running out of time.

Thanks

Ub

Mortal wounds are single. No damage to halve. Confirmed via faq

Each Mortal Wound is a separate attack causing 1 unsaveable Wound. You cannot half one, as it rounds back up to one. You don’t even need the FAQ if your opponent just reads the MW rules properly.

Q: Can Quantum Shielding be used to prevent damage caused by mortal wounds?
A: No. Mortal wounds are inflicted one at a time, and as quantum shielding can never prevent a single point of damage from being suffered, it cannot prevent mortal wounds.
