Hey all,

So we have Gauss, and Tesla.

But most of the weaponry is all green like Gauss, so I wondered are the Gauss based?
The warscythes, Void blades etc. And the Deathmarks Guns too.

Is there any fluff on what they are inside?

Gauss doesn't have to be green, crypteks can change the color and hue of necron weaponry, green just happens to be the chosen color of the most active Necron Dynasty, the Sautekh. As for how necron weapons are constructed, no one outside of the necrons know as they self destruct if they fall into the hands of the lesser races (with a few notable exceptions).

Per the Ad mech even the humble gauss flayer should blow up with the force of a bomb because of the power it contains. So it's a safe bet it's some form of exotic matter, probably involving nanomachines, much like the living metal necron bodies are made out of.

Constantly being negative doesn't make you seem erudite, it just makes you look like a curmudgeon.

on the forum. Obviously

Iirc, in the 3rd ed codex it was explained that warscythes were slightly out of phase and were made out necrodermis, which is what c'tan's shells were made of. Which is how they ignored everything, including shields.
Not sure what they are made out of now though.

I’m gonna go with living metal, it makes sense as when a warrior is destroyed and reforms, it’s weapon does too, otherwise you would eventually have a legion of warriors without weapons

The weapons used by the Callidus assassin temple were made from C'tan necrodermis (up until 3rd ed). They were "c'tan phase blades/swords'. This persisted post the 3rd ed necron codex.

A callidus assassin tries to take on what they know to be a "necron lord" with one, but its body absorbs the blade (because it's actually the deceiver taken on a necron's shape).

It thanks the assassin for its weapon and reminds them not to confuse "the master for the servant".

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
