I've got a lovely miniature by the name of the Noxious Blightbringer,
There is a tournament coming up and I'm considering running two.
Now I've been of the opinion for the last year that it's quite bad. But now that I think about the advancement rule and -1 to leadership it gives I'm thinking it's okay? I don't know if I should keep them or swap them out for something?
anybody else have any good ways of using them?

I use one as an accelerator for Mortarion, along with a Feculent Gnarlmaw.

It allows him to advance and charge, with a boost on the advance.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

The advancement rule is super cash. DG have so many short range units that can and need to run and gun; Blight Launchers Plague Marine squads, Bloat Drones and PBCs with Spitters, Foul Blight Spawns. Any Poxwalker squads need a good advance roll to get up in the game.

Wouldn't bother with two though. I had one with a Fugaris Helm for 10" aura in my last tourney (4-1) but even a 7" is enough. Bear in mind you can advance everything around him, then advance the NB himself to move his aura onto other units before they move. This is good for keeping explosion prone Blight Drones and PBCs on the flanks outside 7" from your chars and Plague Marines etc. Consider you next turn when moving him of course for what's going to start off within his aura again.

The morale effect isn't a reason to take him at all, rarely comes into play, and his actual damage dealing ability is crap. But he's not there for damage, he's there to ensure your Foul Blightspawn can reach out and touch a unit 20" away.

I think the Blight Bringer and Tallyman effects should have been rolled into one model.... But I can see why they split them to bloat the Codex.
