Some background on me. I play (try to collect) all factions. I've been collecting Ultramarines since 5th edition and they are by far my favorite space marine chapter. Also one of my favorite factions in 40k period coming in close to my 1st love (Tyranids) perhaps that's why I like Ultramarines so much, their fluff is well entangled to Nids. Having Guilliman released makes me feel all tingly inside so I try to include him in as many lists as possible because I've only dreamed of fielding him for the past decade so I will enjoy the moment (for years and years to come). Custodes I like aswell and started collecting them recently, not much to say about them as of yet.

Game Plan: Wanted to build a list with Ultramrines+Custodes using several primaris units that I am fond of. I also threw in some melee units in the ultramarines so that they can focus on counter charging in case my shooty primaris are under threat of asssault.

I am far from expert, but it looks the vanguard is so close being a battalion, also, there is a space marine stratagem that needs heavy bolters and it is quite powerful so I would rebalance units numbers to have 3 troops, put in an heavy bolter somewhere and add one 1 hq. Liutenant in place of the chapter champion looks straight forward and then make 3 intercessor squads instead of 2. I have no idea where the heavy bolter could go.

But hey, I hardly won my first game with ultramarines last week so handle advice with care, could make no sense.

I would consider swapping out the Champion for an Ancient with the banner relic, especially combined with Hellblasters and Guilliman.
