We are back at it again, with another entry for the "Draconis Acerbus" custom chapter! These guys were an attempt to "underp" the obliterator models. I put these together at the end of 7th, and themed them on that ruleset - pick a weapon for the round, thus each oblit has a single 'type' of weapon manifested, along with a melee choice. Of course, that changed with eighth, but I think the end result still works. Additional work was done to sculpt around some of the larger weapons kit bashed into them, as well as head swaps and posing work to avoid all 6 looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame. Let me know what you think!

Those are looking awesome
The gold, purple and green works really well together, especially on such a big model.

Obliterators have never been a favourite but the tweaks have improved a challenging sculpt. And that 'Mariner' Obliterator is badass. Although Bioshock sticks on my head, my first thought was a Mercenary Warjck from Warmachine.

Appreciate it - I was a little worried about the purple at first, as it was a choice based around the army theme of daemonic 'parts' and adaptations being generally purple, and my thought being that the obliterator virus itself is also a daemon adaptation.

When I first was putting them together, the 'Big Daddy' was more of a random thought to help change them up a bit - it is incredible how quickly it became the highlight of the set. After a single primer spray I almost regretted not doing the whole set with that look.

Greetings, I have been watching Your progress on the board and Your Obliterators are really wonderful!. Your army has a solid theme. I like how You kit-bashed the heck out of the Oblits. They look unique and I have not seen anything like them before. I hope that Your Grand Chaos Space Marine Army does well on the table top! I thank you for sharing Your wonderful art work!
