I know its probably false to say I have not converted a ork model since that's near impossible, but none the less I am planning to do my first major conversion of a Ork Stompa, I just want some basic tips on major conversions and some inspirations.
I was planning to make it pirate themed as my army is mostly pirate themed, I was gonna use to two supa kanons on each shoulder or maybe mounted in the belly, maybe even a platform for my ork kaptin model to stand on and over sea the carnage he brings! I am yet to do any serious planning of the model!

Any Advice is welcome.

Pirate theme you say? If you can find a model of a battleship, you could probably do something like this.
