So you have two major convents of Sproritas, one on Holy Terra and one on Ophelia. The two Convents each have three Ordo Militants:

Terra

Order of the Bloody Rose
Order of Our Martyred Lady
Order of the Valorous Heart

Ophelia

Order of the Sacred Rose
Order of the Ebon Chalice
Order of the Argent Shroud

So in anticipation of speculating on what Order Traits they will have when the much rumored Sisters Codex drops, what are these various Orders known for?

The Order of Our Martyred Lady were originally known as the Order of the Fiery Heart; they changed the name of their order to commemorate the martyrdom of one of their canonesses in one of the battles for Armageddon.

The order was lead by St Katherine, who was known for carrying the Arms of Alicia Dominica into battle; the reference, which I think is from the Witch Hunters dex, is vague about whether they are referring to her carrying a weapon, a shield, or both.

I am hoping for Celestians with Storm Shields, and if they aren't available army wide, I think the Order of Our Martyred Lady would be the best order for that unit based on their fluff.

I remember this lore because my personal army is a successor of the Order of Our Martyred Lady. They are called the Order of St Katherine's Aegis in honour of the the shield St Katherine was said to have carried for Alicia Dominica.

I'm less certain of the histories of the other orders.

Watch Fortress Excalibris

Bloody Rose - Aggressive and actually decent in melee. So a bonus to CC or close-ranged shooting?
Our Martyred Lady - Getting killed a lot. So probably some benefit from taking casualties.
Valorous Heart - Especially self-critical and penitent, as well as having a deep suspicion of demagogues and those who claim to be saints or prophets. They're known for producing a lot of Repentia, so something that benefits them?
Sacred Rose - Cool-headed and logical, with a focus on ranged firepower. Basically the Ultramarines chapter tactic.
Ebon Chalice - Known for being Alicia Dominica's order and not much else. No idea what trait would be suitable.
Argent Shroud - Selfless and self-sacrificing, but also zealous and puritanical crusaders (and not getting on at all well with Blood Angels successors). Again, no idea.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

If Ebon Chalice were Dominica's order, buffs to LD or other Morale bonuses.

I hope they just make celestians actually worth taking as they are one of my favourite units.

Another option for celestians is sarissa- those crazy bayonets that allow bolters to be used as close combat weapons.

If not sarissa or stormshields, maybe some faith based tweak, like having the unit generate an act of faith on 4+, just like an imagifier, except the AOF can only be used by the celestians who generate it. This would simultaneously solve another problem that people frequently identify- the lack of scaling for acts of faith.

The only order worth wanting a trait for is the Order of the Ermine Mantle. They will get bonuses to Repressor movement, +1 to Leadership if near SALAMANDERS and a -1 to hit in CC Warlord Trait because the Canonness has an awesome scarf.
