The model in question is a Chimera and i wish to replace its main weapon with a heavy bolter its secondary weapon to keep its heavy bolter and add a heavy stubber to it but here is where i need confirmations is there any rules to state that the positioning of the weapons?

I really want to swap the placement of the heavy bolter in the main gun with the heavy stubber or its going to look very awkward.

I don't believe so.

And I don't think that it matters, as you don't measure from a weapon, but from the base/hull.

You want the HB in the turret?

Does the chimera still have the heavy flamer option on the sprue?

If so that could be modified to fit the stubber, what stubber are you going to use?

An auto cannon would suit it due to the size and counts as.

What about stubbers in place of the las guns?

Current 8th-ed rules do not specify what a model has to look like. All weapons fire out of any part of the model.
If you want to add a second heavy weapon to the turret, look at the Taurox and add it on the side.

There is a Forgeworld variant which features double-heavy bolters in the turret. It's easy to find 3rd party companies who make suitable turrets for them.
