I have a force with Blood Angels and Astra Militarum.
If I have an Astra Militarum Warlord with the Grand Strategist trait (regain CP on a 5+ when I use a stratagem) can I also use the Blood Angels Veritas Vitae relic (also allows me to regain CP on a 5+ when I use a stratagem) to roll again for CP?

Yup, absolutely.

I'll note also that Grand Strategist allows you to regain a command point every time you spend a command point, rather than when you use a stratagem. For example, if you use a stratagem that requires 3 CP, you would be able to roll three times per Grand Strategist.

Veritas Vitae of course is used once per stratagem, so for the above example you could roll a total of four times to recover command points.

Yes, but you're paying the 1CP tax for the relic since the warlord is an AM. So take a company commander with Grand Strat and Kurovs, and then pay 1CP for the angels to get the CP relic. Now you are a CP generation machine, and people will hate you.

The combination of Grand Strat and VV, alone, negate the CP cost involved in taking VV.

The Aquilla just makes it OP as heck.

Hopefully GW finally remove the aquilla come the next FAQ as it's gone on long enough and the extra CP they haded out at the last FAQ made the combo even more busted.

I doubt they will; but I would like a use for the swagger stick since we lost power mauls as an option(even the old extra order as a use for it)
