Hi!

I'm ChargeDog, and for the past few years I've been running ChargeBlog, a blog covering my decent in madness ably assisted by tiny metal figures. Which is to say it's weekly wargames blog focusing on Ultramodern (post 2001) wargaming, with a feature post every Friday and a hobby update every Monday. Occasionally a few side projects sneak in (I've just started a fantasy dungeon crawling project and have fallen foul of the Kill Team pox) and those get posted on Wednesdays. Over the years I've written a few posts that people seem to like including a comparison of the various modern wargaming rules for 28mm.

I'm wanting to expose it to a few more people and post it in a single thread to Dakka Dakka but I'm unsure which section of the forum to drop it into. Most of it is painting and modelling but there are also battle reports and tactics articles (as well as impressions of things other than figures). Any advice where best to put it? Or is this style of posting frowned upon?

Welcome!
I run a similar thing for Babylon 5 ACTA and post it all combined in Misc. Sci-Fi and just the painting stuff in Painting and modeling. So something similar might suit you, there are sections for most genres here (Ultramodern being in WW2 to Modern under the historicals), look forward to seeing your stuff.

Hi there. Welcome to Dakka.

It's a good idea to ask where to post stuff, as people often get grumpy when their stuff gets moved around.
One thing that winds people up on here is blogs posters who don't follow up their posts. Fire-and forget threads get lost in the scrum. Pop by to reply and everyone stays happy
Get the links into your signature, and post anything relevant where you think it will be seen by those wanting to look. A couple of links to a multi-topic blog shouldn't hurt.
Put some words around the link, to get people to press it. That's one of the other things people complain about, is links and no reason to press it.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks for all the replies! I'll start getting my thread together. Hope you all like pictures of models in various shades of green and tan.

Now to go PM someone to change this French flag next to my name. I may be a Yorkshireman in Scotland but that incorrect flag is a step too far.
