Now this is the original Scumbag list I put together, however, this entire army is a custom renegade army; the Custodes are donned with flames, spikes and skulls; the Knights are battle-damaged Renegades; and the Guardsmen are all converted using FW Enforcers. The latter conversion is somewhat of a problem given that Enforcers are now dicontinued, meaning any genuine Enforcers will sky-rocket in price and those that are cheap will likely be knock-offs of questionable quality. This means that, at the moment, I only have 3 Mortars and it is uncertain as to whether I'll build up another 4.

So, to the advice portion: What are people's thoughts on the full Scumbag list? And does anyone have any suggestions on what I could replace the 4 Mortar teams with?

Cheers!

It’s just another list. I don’t know why you insist on a silly name for it. It has zero psychic support and I think everyone is getting used to seeing knight spam and loading their forces with boat loads of long ranged firepower to gank them. I just made an eldar list with 3 fire prisms and 3 crimson hunters and shining spears that would reliably remove a knight and some more every turn. And Doom and jinx make a huge difference in making that a lot easier to do while having far superior speed. I guess you run the gamble. Either the enemy has plenty of firepower and can handle you. Or not.

I don't know enough to comment on the list, a part that if you don't go first you risk of losing at least 25% of your army power turn 1 (1 big knight and some infantry = 500pts).

but given the description I would love to see the pictures! Flaming custodes and renegade knights? Yes please!

It's the scumbag list because it soups together the three things everyone is complaining about at the moment:
- New 'Overpowered' Knights
- Custodes Captains allies
- Guard CP battery

The effectiveness of the list, as you say, hinges on whether my opponent has sufficient firepower to take on 3 knights and the bike Captains but the list itself is just a combination of the units I'm currently tinkering with in my current passion project: a fully converted Chaos Imperial army. The scumbag portion is just my opponent's gut reaction to seeing this list opposite them.

This is the army as it stands:

Still getting through the painting (slowly) and taking an age to fully magnetise these knights. The Knights aren't as Chaosy as I'd originally envisioned them but I'm satisfied with them.

In terms of the Knights the Lanchester square law comes in.
If you double your tanks, the enemy has to four-fold its anti-tank weapons.

It's more like a Daemonic legion taking the form of the Emperor's finest as a kind of insult to the Imperium.
