My question is if 2 ENEMIES are in within 1" of each other (melee combat) and I want to shoot them do i just pick one and shoot it? Is there a chance to hit the other model?

I under stand if i have a multi-shot weapon i can shoot two enemies that are standing next to each other (within 2") i just don't know if being in combat changes anything.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

Two enemies within 1" isn't melee combat. Or are you talking about 3 player games?

I guess assuming that this is a multiplayer game was heavily implied. Hence why i said in combat. But to be completely clear. Yes a 3 or more person game when 2 opponents are in melee combat.
Does it change if all three are in combat?
Thank you for your reply.

I couldnt find any special rules for more than 2 players. If these dont exist, here is my take on it. Pg. 17 defines what friendly and what enemy models are. All models belonging to me are friendly models, all other models on the table are enemy models. I only have the german rules, i dont know what exactly they are called in english. But i guess you know what i mean. Pg. 28 says you cannot target enemy models which are within 1" of friendly models. If there are two enemy models within 1" of each other, i can target both, because they arent within 1" of friendly models. I can also split fire when i shoot them with one model, because they are within 2" of each other, see pg. 29. I cant target an enemy model which is within 1" of a friendly model, or models. But the friendly model who is within 1" of an enemy model can shoot it with a pistol, but it must targest the nearest enemy model.

Yeah that's what I thought. But could not find anything to the contrary.

Somehow the other players got it into there heads that you randomize. Ie on a 4+ you hit your target otherwise it hits the other enemy. Since friendly did not press ofc but just wanted to make sure was not missing a rule somewhere.

The rules are written for two players so you’re bound to come up with things you need to agree on in a multiplayer game, just the nature of it. If you haven’t agreed on randomising shots into close combat pre-Battle it’s a bit mean to impose it midway through, especially if you were counting on that salvo, but it’s a fun method if you want to use it.

The rules for Kill Team are explicitly written for more than two players, as shown in the third topic of the rules denoting what an Friendly and Enemy Model are.

There is nothing unambiguous about shooting at two enemy models that happen to be within 1" of each other. They are not Friendly Models and are open for you to shoot at, including choosing which is your primary target and deciding if you want to shoot at multiple targets.

this is further backed up by the fact that there are multiplayer battles (i.e battle requiring more than 2 people) in the missions
