Hey peeps, I have been trying and playing around with various blues in order to get some rich teal colors though I am think of expanding beyond the GW lines, as colors like temple Guard blue and such... Well there is nothing in their line that is overly teal. Citadel paints tend to have a dullness to them. I was really impressed with the image here http://www.sukubusstudio.com/painted-worldwide?lightbox=dataItem-jiklzy11 , the color build up is amazing.

If you are interested, I am attempting to paint cloaks for fantasy and Alpha legion for 40K. Does anyone have any experience with teal paints or know how to build them up to give that vibrant color as seen in the attached image?

introduce some greens into your blues. that will give you teal tones.bring your highlights up to a light blue, and use glazes to deepen shadows and blend the layers.
