So I have loved using my Primaris Hellblasters over the last few months; in fact I would go so far as to say they are one of my favourite units weighing game now! With this in mind I have just assembled and painted a second squad of these bad boys...

There’s a few more photos and a bit more detail on my blog:

Absurdly crisp. Very nice work. I think Hellblasters are a superb unit in the marine arsenal right now. My buddy is working on ten and I'm not looking forward to it.

Cheers mate! Yeah they are definitely a very potent unit. One of my regular opponents fields them as a Dark Angel player and due to some of their chapter specific rules they are an even nastier option!

Ugh...yep, the guy painting them is a Dark Angels player...so I understand the awful bonus plasma damage coming my way!

Cheers guys! I’m really pleased with how they turned out; though secretly I wish I’d painted them as Dark Angels as that green paint job does make them so much more formidable!

Amazing work! You sir, are an excellent painter.

As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Such clean, impressive, and consistent work! Love it as always. A perfect say to execute the crimson fists scheme.

Cheers mate! To be fair the crisp sculpts of these Primaris models do make it easier to do such consistent edge highlights!

I feel you there! I just finished one myself and was surprised by how accommodating they were to a clean finish

Very nice. I like to see an Ultramarine well-painted. What colours did you use for the gold?

Retributor Armour base, Agrax wash, auric armour zenithal highlight and finally mithril silver (sorry I always forget the equivalent name!) as an edge highlight.

Cheers dude; I shall borrow this with pride. Oh and the equivalent is runefang Steel ... though stormhost Silver seems indistinguishable

The only difference I've noticed between Runefang Steel and Stormhost Silver is that Stormhost Silver seems to be a little bit shinier than Runefang Steel.

You’re probablt right. I sort of use them interchangeably... and usually for extreme highlights so I might not see the extra shine!
