Hi there, fleshlings!
I have here for your consumption a potential/probable Necron army list for Battle for Salvation, 90-person Major atop NYC next weekend. Who knows if it's any good. I've only played it once! But my opponent did concede top of turn two, so, well, maybe it's not terrible?
Opinions and comments are greatly appreciated.
Sautekh Necrons Battalion
HQ: Overlord (Warscythe) = 95
HQ: Overlord (Staff of Light) = 94
Troops: 10 Immortals (Tesla Carbines) = 170
Troops: 10 Immortals (Tesla Carbines) = 170
Troops: 5 Immortals (Tesla Carbines) = 85
Detachment Subtotal = 614pts
Sautekh Necrons Outrider
HQ: Cryptek (Staff of Light, Chronometron, Veil of Darkness) = 95
HQ: Destroyer Lord (Warlord, Warscythe, Phylactery) = 131
FA: 6 Destroyers = 300
FA: 6 Destroyers = 300
FA: 8 Tomb Blades (Gauss Blasters, Shieldvanes) = 280
FA: 8 Tomb Blades (Gauss Blasters, Shieldvanes) = 280
Detachment Subtotal = 1,386pts
ARMY TOTAL = 2,000pts
Power Level = 108
Command Points = 9

If you change the outrider to mephrit your tomb blades would be AP-3 at half range, and destroyers -4. Both can FLY, which means they cant be tied up in melee. If you change it to nephrekh you can put the destroyers in deepstrike, protecting them from fire, but they wont be able to arrive turn 1 (Beta rule). If you exchange an overlord for a cryptek in your battalion your immortals will resurrect on 4+. You can still use MWBD a second time with a stratagem.

Well, I'd add some assault element in the fast attack slot, say 5 or 6 Wraiths by deleting a unit of Tomb Blades.
It will not always be possible to keep the enemy at arm's length.

Its a solid list. What army did you play? I think nephrekh might be better, but if they are using the beta rules with the cover for whoever goes 2nd for 2 CP sautekh could be useful if you can get that extra AP and get at half range.

Wraiths are dead to me; overcosted as it is with little to no reliable offensive output and now they can't even do the only jobI really kept them around for: chargong over screens to tag knights.
I like the idea of switching to Mephrit for the Outrider, think I'll give it a shot. Alternatively, I keep the Blades Sautekh and make the other units in that detachment Nephrekh, so I can DS them if need be. That may be better even with the new limits on reserves.
So the slightly adjust list looks the same as the original except for swapping the Warscythe Lord out to take a second Cryptek, and I either go Mephrit or Mixed for the Outrider.
