I've come up with 1500 points of the World Eater list I am planning, and since its almost entirely melee I should bring something big amd with plenty of dakka to deal with heavy armour, I was thinking a knight of some kind but don't know which loadout is best. Here is the list so far:

Running a similar list but at 2k.
Only suggestion (and not written in stone) would be to move one DP into the battalion slot, drop a bezerker or two / some blood letters and take karnak (75 points) in the patrol HQ.
Then add in collar of borg to the other prince for some psychic defense (3 DTW a turn).
You also probably want the banner of blood on the blood letters?

The Knight I added to make 2k was the shooty one (rapid fire cannon, avenger cannon and missile pods).

I would move the claw DP to the battallion and make him warlord. Give him Talisman of Burning Blood. Then I would agree with taking Karanak in the patrol. He's not for combat unless he's got backup. He's mainly for psyker defense. If you're playing against a psyker heavy list I'd switch the Skullreaver to the artifact armour. Gives you another DTW.

The whole Daemon patrol part isn't set in stone, while Karnak is a good idea. Would happily change it for something better if need be.
I should have specified that I am looking to get this up to 2000 points so there is plenty of room for change.

The list as it stands seems solid enough, although you don't need so many charachter beatsticks in this list as the bezerkers and bloodletters will make a mess of most things in close combat. You could drop the claws DP and add some ranged anti tank to start hitting flyers, knights and other big targets. I would suggest oblitorators, double gattling cannon knight or if you're ok with forgeworld. Leviathan dreadnoughts with 2 butcher cannon arrays. I play with 2x oblits and one leviathan and that is more than enough blow those difficult to assault units off the board.

I’ve would take the relic “brass collar” on champ or apostle.
Simply put, more psychic defense AND if you succeed the enemy psyker suffer perils and then you use a strat from CD so they have to roll 2D3 MW. Can kill a farseer and other character.
