Hi all!

Kickstarter is now live!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/242429396/metro-morph-ready-to-play-modular-card-wargaming-t?ref=user_menu

Different options available across a wide price range, so come check it out!

So I had some spare moments and I'd really been meaning to put together something on the largish size with the card terrain I've been developing...so I came up with this.

Enjoy

Cheers

Cute idea for a video, I liked it, lol.

Serious question, though: What is giving your "card" terrain its body? Those pieces are visibly thick like MDF. Does your stuff come that way?

very bigly.. nice use of Hasslefree figure..

How much weight would that hold? Say, if I loaded up that tower with 20 metal 32mm figures on the top, would it stay stable or collapse?

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Your terrain looks good but I would suggest editing the thread title to something more informative.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

Looks good! I agree that the thickness of the pieces looks great.

Cheers! Thought it would be a bit of fun, while showing off some of the terrain. Glad you liked it. As to your question, Metro Morph is using thicker card stock like what you might see used in game boards. If you're interested you can check out this development blog

https://crowdforgestudio.com/2018/10/24/tough-enough/#.W-YixtUza1s

where I go into what each panel is made from.

Thanks for your interest. Yeah, as soon as I saw that mini I thought he needed a tower. He's awesome!

As to weight bearing, I'm going to direct again to our blog where I cover exactly how much weight a structure can bear. Check it out!

Great point! Title renamed to give a better idea of the content. Thanks for the assist.

kestral wrote:Looks good! I agree that the thickness of the pieces looks great.

Thanks mate. See above for more details on the panel thickness. I really think it makes a huge difference compared to regular thin card.

They really give me the feel of old school Necromunda buildings, and I love the idea of stickers on the connectors making them blend in.

Glad you're liking the look of the terrain. Hopefully it holds some old school aesthetic but with a more modern and detailed twist.

Thanks for the support! I really wanted to make this an affordable option for people to get awesome looking terrain to their table quickly and I'm really happy that you think it is great value for money. Cheers

Don't know that I have the funds, but definitely interesting --- good looking stuff, and clever with the clips/stickers. Will be spreading the word for the Necromunda friends of mine.

Glad you're liking what we are doing with Metro Morph. The stickers were a real defining moment in the project which I felt turned a great concept into a really awesome one.

And thanks for sharing among your fellow gamers, that really means a lot to me knowing people are going out of there way to help. Cheers!

Also, if funds are tight at the moment, you still might want to consider jumping on our $2 First Founder pledge, you'll get updates on the project and then access to the pledge manager which opens a little after the close of the Kickstarter campaign. From there if you find you can get some cash together you can order the kits then. While it won't help a great deal to getting us funded or achieving stretch goals right now it offers you a chance to not miss out on something you may be interested in.

I have to say I am very excited by this, for me space in storage is a massive consideration, so the fact that this packs flat is a massive plus.

I would urge everyone to check out some of his articles on his website, it gave me loads of information. https://crowdforgestudio.com/

Just pledged! I look forward to integrating it into my existing stuff, which I think it will do quite well - for example to add detail to the more jumbled areas of spaceship interiors.

Cheers mate!

Really looking forward to seeing what people start coming up with once this gets released out there. The potential for some pretty cool builds and uses is there.
