Sorry about formatting, First post and I don't know how people import their army lists and put spoiler windows. So Ill write it all out manually o the best of my knowledge.

6th game played with the new sisters of battle codex. So far have only lost 1 battle with a bit of Assassinorium / inquisitor soup. The one I lost was against this same Death guard player. (other games saved for another time beat 1k sons, Custodes, and Tempestus). This was my third game against the death guard player, first game I won because I misread some aspects of the beta codex and juked a few of my saves. Second game I fixed my interpretation, decided not to bring Celestine and got stomped pretty hard.

We played the new mission beachhead. This missions uses a middle onbjective marker and 2 more objective markers placed in deployment zones. So mostly capture/hold objevtice.

Lists were as follows:

Ministorum battalion: (bloody rose)
----------------------------
Celestine
Canoness w/ BoA and indom belief

3 groups of 5x BSS all bolters

1 group 6x seraphim 2x hand flamers

2x immolator with multi melta

1x Penitent engine

Inquisitor Supreme command Detachment
------------------------------------------------------
Greyfax
Inquisitor with combi melta & force sword (ordo hereticus)
Inquisitor with power sword and inferno pistol (ordo hereticus)

Deathguard Battalion:
------------------------------
Typhus
Lord of contagion

2 10x plague marines (varying equipment)
10x pox walkers

1x Noxious Blightbringer

3x Plague Drones

2x Myphitic Blighthaulers

1x Plagueburst crawler
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Turn 1: Seized the initiate and pushed two immolators up the left flank towards his objective (each with a inquisitor and 5x BSS) . Advanced canoness 10" to keep up, and placed Celestine to secure 4++ for immos. Other side I advanced penitent, got 1", rerolled, got 10" total. Only thing that could fire was immos, all missing targets. Finally. Left another BSS with Greyfax on my objective to keep it secured.

Deathguard first turn advanced plague marines and pox walkers at penitent engine. Then used the pleagueburst crawler mortar and melta to decimate my penitent engine first turn (securing first strike VP). Bloat drones stayed on his deployment objective. Advanced a myphitic blighthauler to meet 1 immolator, and plague marines/ 2nd blighthauler at the second immo. Both immolators took a few wounds, one at 8 wounds and 1 at 6 wounds.

Turn 2: Disembarked 1 immolator toward the blighthauler that advanced, moved other forward to block LOS of cannoness, moving canoness to ready for charge. Brought seraphim down from the sky, unloading on one of the blight haulers (burning descent) doing 2 wounds total. Sadly the excitement from the seraphims descent caused me to completely skip on psychic phase. Melta immos widdled a few more wounds of the blight haulers, charged one out of LOS with canoness and the other with a squad of 5 sisters (followed by inquisitor and celestine). Killed 1 blight hauler and brought the other to 2 wounds. Death guard player uses stratagem to make blighthauler explode, 2 mortal wounds BSS, celestine, and inquisitor.

Deathguard charges immo with squad of plague marines, plague crawler brings other immo to 3 wounds, plague marines bring other immo to 1 wound. Typhus and lord of contagion deep strike, 1 by my deployment objective, typhus by center objective. poxwalkers and plague marines both move toward center objective with typhus. 2 deny the witch successes against Typhus' sorcery.

Turn 3: Disembark second inquisitor squad from furthest advanced immo, repositioned seraphim to assault plague marine squad, inquisitor and celestine sit on middle objective waiting for typhus and pox walkers. REMEMBERED MY PHYSIC PHASE! 3 successful smites, 3 mortal wounds a piece. 3 on lord of contagion, 4 went through on plague marines. canoness inferno pistol kill second myliphic blighthauler, no explosion. BSS, canoness and inquisitor charge 1 group plague marines, seraphim shoot and charge the other. Moral hits both leaving very few plague marines.

Deathguard moves bloat drones to attack immo with 1 wound, fails to kill it, Typhus and pox walkers finally get to center objective, Lose 3 seraphim, fails to charge second immo with lord of contagion. By this time he admits defeat but wants to see how the typhus vs. celestine battle will go.

Next turn I destroy all 3 Float drones with canoness and inquisitor, fall back with seraphim to secure middle and shoot at pox walkers, middle inquisitor and celestine wipe out rest of poxwalkers. Typhus Charges celestine and Inquisitor, Celestine makes saves and falls to 1 wound on first life. Next turn her and Inquisitor kill Typhus on 5th turn calling the game. Final score was 7-4.

On further examination, I used all my faith points but none of them made too much of a difference to include. Healed a few wounds on turn 5 and got a few shots of on 2+. I find this army is high risk, high faith, and high reward. The AoF feels like a accent to make decent troops punch above their weight class. The inquisitors really helped for morale and psykers, Sprawling did lose me +1 to my invuln, but by the time of the spread I was already far ahead on points. Waiting for plastic sisters before I play around with more Melta and storm bolters, however a group of 5 Battle sisters is still fine for securing objectives.

Great BatRep, and welcome to Dakka! We have a pretty vigorous discussion going in the Tactics forum, so drop in whenever. Sounds like you're finding many of the same things as the rest of us regarding AoFs. I think you'll be happy when you add some melta Dominions and start vanguarding those Immos up the board, but it also sounds like you're having pretty good success with this build. I'll keep an eye out for future reports... well played!

Thanks for the welcome . I plan on posting more battle reports although the formula doesn't change all too much. Sometimes I bring a assassin vanguard that seems really good at locking up forces while I footlog to combat. Melta dominions and storm dominions seem like alot of fun, sadly Ill be waiting for plastic before getting those sets as they are pretty expensive and individual at the moment. I have been playing with the composition of forms of embarkment. Canoness pretty much always has to be out of transport to give the global 4++. Inquisitors are nice since they can ride in immolators with their transport specal rules. Also have a preacher and mistress of repentance. Been having alot of fun bringing 2 groups of 5 repentia and the mistress and preacher. Turns a charge to 40 attacks re-rolling failed hits. The problem is keeping the canoness up to pace with them so they arent running in with only a 6++. Dominions seems great for tying up your opponent for objective capture, but over extension seems to be the bane of the sororitas with the beta codex. They really reward the bubble and a slow spread turn 3-4. I really enjoy the new utility and unit builds. Relics that shut down thousand suns, make your canoness a real beat stick. The Bloody Rose gives you reason to charge and keep the damage flowing. Hardest part is making it into shooting range unschathed. Although I do like the +1 cover benefit general stratagem on the off chance I get 2nd initiative (2+ armor saves all around with 4+ invuln really makes a difference in the amount of blob you get across the field). Blessed bolts looks like alot of fun though ><. Cant wait to give it a try!
