So I decided a new paint scheme for my new all primaris army. Some of the models are already primed black. My idea was to just prime the models white, add seepian wash and work the model from there. I know that I will lose some details, but it's just intercessors and hellblasters so no biggie.

A) Has anyone experience on re-priming from black to white? How did it go?

B) Will the result end up distinguishly different from my only primed with white models?

Thanks.

Spraying a white primer from above on a black primed base is actually a known and suggested technique (zenithal priming), though from what you're saying you're wanting to do a full re-prime. I haven't done either, but I suspect as long as you're using a few light coats it should work pretty much the same as just starting white if you get complete coverage, to actually popping a bit better if you go with the zenithal.

I always prime black, never liked painting over white. Vejut suggested zen painting, which usually has great results...but its not normally done with primers. as long as you dont put thick coats on top of the primer it should be ok. you might loose some details doing this, so make sure its light as possible.
