Anyone got any thoughts on this? With a bit of creativity, I think it could work.

With the modern rules, what sort of equipment would enforcers be carrying?

Try energy shield, shock stave, shock baton, shotguns, grenade launcher, heavy stubber. You can use the Cyber-mastiff. That should cover the original models. You can add anything else on top of that.

The Venator gang need a bit of work-around as they have not been fully updated to the Dominion campaign yet.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here’s what I came up with:

All enforcers wear flak armour with an armoured undersuit, and carry a stub gun, shock baton and filter plugs. Each one then carries either a shotgun, a Hystrar Pattern energy shield or is accompanied by a cyber mastiff. That’s the ‘Constables’ (Hunters). ‘Sergeants’ (Hunt Champions) and ‘Inspectors’ (Hunt Leaders) can carry bolt weaponary and execution rounds. Plus specialists can have grenade launchers/flamers/heavy stubbers etc. These choices might seem unusual but they reflect what the models are actually allowed to carry.

All this seem ok?

That makes perfect sense. Would be nice to have a fluffy gang like that in any campaign. You could even go a bit more experimental with a selected character or two, if there's something else you want to try out during the coarse of a campaign. Maybe try web guns for outlaws wanted for less severe crimes.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. In fact, I actually wanted to give every enforcer a web pistol (as their version of a tazer) but it’s rarity puts it beyound the regular hunters. In fact, all the web weapons are too rare for regular hunters. I think this would require some rules bending, but it’s worth it.

I wasn’t sure if stub guns were the right choice. I wanted to organise them along ‘IG’ lines (save the bolt weaponary for the actual arbiters) which would suggest las pistols, but I felt that stub guns sat better alongside shotguns. What do you think? Las or stub?

I think stub guns works great, but you could even mix it up include some las pistols. I'm more excited about what minis you are going to use. Please share some photos whenever you get them done. Web weapons are a bit of a luxury in Necromunda (very potent at short range), so it is something you can reserve for the elites in your gang. They could be too expensive, so it could even be something you purchase during the campaign after earning credits.

You're on the right track here and you won't go wrong whatever you decide I think.

Well, that's what the old "Enforcers using spare Arbites models the 40k team didn't want" squad were equipped with. If you have something different in mind, then the world's your oyster. I've inferred from the background that each hive has its own Enforcers, so there's no need for my guys to look like yours.

Personally I'd add more webbers and gas grenades for thematic purposes. There's also the cyber-mastiff handler model Forge World put out a few years ago - lighter armour, a power maul and pistol - as a sort of tracker / hunter / "combat CSI".

I'd consider the armsmen from Rogue Trader as possible Enforcers, myself. Alternatively, Space Marine Scouts with Skitarii Vanguard heads and regular Space Marine arms (without the shoulder pauldrons) should be a decent approximation to the old Arbites look.
