So like the title said new to 40k. My gaming groups dragging me into warhammer 40k. Like the lore like the models. But damn plastic has never been so pricey. Anyway working on my first army a set of space wolves. Was wondering could I kit bash a wolf priest out of a Primaris Inceptorwith a couple of body guards? A wolf priest can have a jump pack.anyways could I make the healer a "leader"? Are the normal packs "jetpacks"? The one guy I could ask about all this is sorta an elitist. And refuses to speak about the game to me.

G'day and welcome to Dakka! Not a Space Wolves player myself so can't comment on your Wolf Priest queries, but yes the Inceptors do have jumpacks, regular Primaris don't, they are just 'power' packs. Sounds like you've got a bit of a prickly pear in your gaming group, hope they soften up!

Nah, it's just the one guy. The rest of us are noobs to the game. And I just asked him a wrong question. Just means I have to build an army that can thump him in revenge.   that and I bought the wrong spacewolves upgrade sprue so I could convert some blue boys I got as a Christmas gift.

Hey, welcome! I think that painting and modeling forum would be the right forum for that. That's where I would put it at least. Personally i think it sounds like a neat kitbash and say go for it, but it's probably a good idea to check with others.
