Hi ya all,
I just got another conquest magazine and was look forward to do next mission with my elder son... unless I saw rule for flying unit.
What should I do with it? It is illegal for post FAQ that flying unit cannot charge over enemy’s units and in conquest magazine there are tutorial how to charging over the enemy units

Should I teach that to my son or explain him about FAQ he never heard before?

Its not the only rule in Conquest thats different, how cover works seems to be closer to Cities of Death with infantry units able to hide behind things if more than half of them are behind it.

on the bright side those data sheets are "newer" than those in the codexes and thus according to some must replace them.

personally...

if you are teaching him via conquest stick with whats in conquest alone for now, carry the rest as it comes through - will be interesting when the rules summary comes along in a few issues if it also is different to the rules as published normally.

possible sign of the future?

yeah. If it is just you to playing, then it is better to stick to what the books say. If you think he may want to play other people in the future, then maybe down the line it could possibly be worth teaching him about FAQs etc. You don't have to even make him learn them, just let him know that the game is evolving constantly.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

Yeah he want play tournaments and be champions just like me. Cute.

I guess I’ll play by Conquest rule for now ( he just started ) and we play lot of Killteam and he getting hang of the rule.

But he want bigger armies like mine not just 5 men, so I try teach him w40k corerule but it’s bit too hard for him and thank god Conquest arrived at same time as my son want learn!

I haven’t miss issues since because of my son enjoyed it, easy to read and easy to follow.

When I think he is ready for real warhammer 40k, I’ll teach him about FAQ when next faq out.

Stick with Conquest, but when/if he gets games with other people explain that the rule got changed.

that's very cute, how old?

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.
