So I an entering an escalation type event and here are the post the place made:

Vigilus at War is a Warhammer 40000 Escalation League; Players start at 20 power, and every week increases by 20 power, culminating at 100 power at the end! Every week will use a new Battlezone and War Zones from the Vigilus Defiant book, and missions will be generated using Open War cards. To take part, you'll need:

I plan on using Astra Militarum formation to start.

Suggestions on how I should kit them out or restructure?

This is suppose to represent an initial touchdown force or patrol from my 4th Battalion 487th Lunar Venatorii 'Panther' Cavalry Regiment "Wyrm Gerdarme".

My basic plan for this first week was to bring a decent model count to absorb wounds and integrate heavy weapons in two squads with the company commander giving orders in the backfield. And the Platoon commander with the third squad in the chimera being either my forward deployed or quick reaction force being only armed with special weapons and vox really. All sergeants and commanders with either boltgun and powersword or plasma pistol and powersword. Finally for the astropath being a way to handle parker foolery in a limited sense otherwise just buffing a squad

Seriously I would like to know if this is decent, cruddy, or there are just better ways to do it. I havent played in little over a year and that was a 7th ed game. Help is wanted.

Why not take a second company commander instead of the platoon commander and make it a battalion? Other than that, the list looks good, do you have a specific list in mind (i.e. wargear)
