So as everyone knows the SOS got the knew faith points thing for their shield of faith ability, but the guard crusader units also have to use faith points, or can they just use the shield of faith whenever, because if they have to se faith points, thy can only use shield of faith for half the turns there are in a game.

Shield of Faith doesn't require Faith Points. It's just a 6++ and 1d6 to Deny the Witch. It's always active.

If you're referring to Acts of Faith, you get 3 Faith Points for having any models with the Acts of Faith rule in your army, +1 point for every ten models with the Acts of Faith rule.

So, assuming you're fielding less than 10 crusaders, you'll have 3 Faith Points.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

If you're referring to Acts of Faith, unless it says otherwise in an FAQ [which it doesn't seem to under the IG or CA FAQ's], I think that RAW you would use the instance on Crusaders' datasheet. Alternative, the Acts of Faith rule from the Sisters Beta Codex would give you 3 Faith Points +1 for every ten models with the Acts of Faith rule.

You use the AoF in the sisters codex. The sisters codex spells that out.

Thanks, corrected.

Oh thanks, sorry I said shield of faith, instead of acts of faith, I jut wondered if it would be different because you know they aren't sisters and it seems weird to have to use a different codex for an ability in the guard codex. (I know its in both codex's but you know what I mean).
