I've been a long time on/off hobbyist for 40k. Me an a friend will go through periods of playing a few games over a couple of months and then get out of sync before coming back. RL and other hobbies get in the way theres never enough time for it all!

I've been a 'long term' collector of Space Wolves... like 20 years right back when i was really young, and didn't have the money to get into the game....however, right up until i invested a lot of ££ i've always been a fan of them.

My current stock pile is:
10 x scouts
15 x blood claws
26 x Grey hunters
10 x skyclaws
6 x TWC
1 pack of fenrisian wolves
10 x WG terms
10 x Long Fangs
24 x models still on sprue

Wolf Priest with Jump pack
Iron Priest

Landraider (crusader i think)

My friend runs AM all the time, sometimes with some SM units allied. I'm normally either shredded by armor or so much inf i get shredded... We've brought new terrain as i think that will help somewhat. I notice things like the skyclaw bases really dont lend themselves to helping LOS which is a pain but they look better on them!

I've basically lost every time, which is OK, its not the best but its all learning and i'm not a great tactician having less than 100 games over all the years so i really don't know my army that well. BUT....My questions are:

- Have i been buying the right units?, most were modeled in the 7th ed. We proxy in weapons i try to have the correct unit though, some of his models are OLDSKOOL and so are on 'smaller bases' and a smaller in general, which is OK...not a lot i can do, we're not play comp so I'm not exactly going to say you need to re-base and re-buy loads of models.
- Is there anything i should really be looking to buy in 8th?
- What should i do with the 24 models still on the sprue? BC or GH or WG?
- Should I be putting these away for now and investing in another SM army or different faction all together?
- Taking £ out of the question, should i magnetize and whats the best way for SW models as they can be so many different things, WG, BC, GH, Special wepons etc.
