To make sense of this, there was a model featured in WD311 in a skaven clan moulder spin-off that I want to make.





This was the original one that uses the 1st metal hydra and metal rat ogre heads.
Due to hating the pose and the model being a living nightmare for breaking, I want to rebuild this using the new plastic hydra kit and heads from the current skaven rat ogres (the possible ones, not IoB)

Does anyone have pics (Or can take them) of one of the rat ogre heads against a hydra head for scale please?
I've tried Google and that was a fail.
Pretty big Long shot but I'm unsure if the heads will be too small on the new hydra kit.
Basically want to know if I'm swapping heads or if I'll have to sculpt every head from scratch.

The second metal (later failcast) hydra and the new plastic hydra have significantly larger necks.

On the up side, you can still find the old metal hydra on E-bay and it should match up with the new plastic rat ogre heads and arms reasonably well.

I was hoping this wasn't the case but the more I looked at pics the more it was looking likely.

Sadly I want the plastic hydra as it's bigger and more imposing, so I think I'll have to just cut my losses and sculpt some bigger rat heads.
Will be a mission bit worth while.

Might want to check the Storm Fiends or Abomination heads, they're bigger than the Rat Ogre heads.

Storm fiends are smaller sadly and only the main head of the HPA is bigger :(
Already looked at looting heads from those lol.

I think the only other source of heads would be boneripper, but finding multiples of that head for sale would be like finding a real unicorn I feel.
