Since harlequins are based off of the french harlequins I was wondering if they said anything with their dying breath like "the show must go on" .."final curtains" or something like that?!?

I mean, why not? They're pretty big drama queens, after all.

I could see that.

I'm guessing they'd make some kind of joke related to their death ?

Big drama queens you say?!? ..how so?
According to that sparse lore I've read they remind their fellow eldars how to behave and such?

"They... came... from... behind"

Or

"It's a trap!"

Both seem meme worthy for the silliness that is Harlequins.

Nah. The last time Harlequins got killed in the lore it was when they were effortlessly dispatched by the new flavor of space marines GW wanted to hock. None of the harlequins got "the last line" it was basically just the space marines.

If you're a non-marine army as soon as you're out of your own codex you just become nameless goon boltgun fodder.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Combat is a performance. Fighters play a part. So I believe Harlequins would stay in character when dying, and their last words would therefore reflect was is expected of the character they're portraying.

But not much is known about their death. Their souls are believed to be collected by Cegorach. So another possibility is that their last words are a prayer to their god, wishing it will indeed protect their souls from Slaaneesh (who knows, maybe it was just a big joke).

Harlequin: "You have bested me Ahriman, I feel the life slipping from my broken form. Come closer, swiftly, and I shall tell you how to gain entrance to the Black Library in what moments I have left."

Ahriman: *quickly shuffles as close as he can, giddy with anticipation*

Harlequin: *farts*

Serious: fresus' interpretation sounds plausible, I'd go with that
