Hey all! I'm back from a 4 year hiatus of 40k and I thought I'd throw together a list. I've been playing exclusively Eldar since 4th edition but I've never used bikes, flyers or rangers before (Or Wraithguard for that matter).
My collection right now that I've been building since 4th is almost exclusively 4000ish points of aspect warriors, some wave serpents, and a Wraithknight, but I thought it would be cool to essentially start a whole new Eldar collection only of stuff I've never used before. But before I start buying I figured I'd go ahead and ask what you all thought of this list.
Sorry if the formatting is bad, I'm on mobile but if it needs to be fixed up I can do it once I set up my computer tomorrow. I'm not looking to win any tournaments or anything but my goal with this list is to be able to take on all comers and if I did enter a tournament to win around 50% of the time.

Only change I would do is make the 3x 3 man shining Spears into a single 1x 9 man shining spear. Also, I would drop one hemlock for a crimson hunter exarch, make the bikes into 6 man squads, and add a second crimson hunter exarch. That way you have some anti tank in the list other than the spears in melee. If you want them all to be alaitoc, take an air wing detachment and it gives you an extra cp

Okay thanks for the feedback! Could you tell me more about the 9 man Spear squad? One of the benefits I can think of is buffing it with the farseer now that it's one big squad. But the downside is now the squad has to deal with morale, and now only has 1 exarch as opposed to 3. Also I know my layout was confusing but it would be a total of 12 shining spears, 9 regular, 3 exarches. So do you think 12 is overkill?

Get some dark reapers... they're just too good not to take.

If you have 12 I would cut the extra 3 and only use 9. And, if morale really is that bad, just remember they have a 4+ invul (3+ with protect against shooting) and you CAN spend 2 cp to auto pass morale if you need them to stay badly enough. Losing the exarch upgrades for 2 and dropping an exarch and 2 Spears total should give you enough for a small dark reaper squad, as said above. I run at LEAST 2 5 man squads. The exarch having the tempest launcher.

Oh I have plenty of those! I made great use of them back in 7th edition! But I'm trying to use stuff I've never used before like Jetbikes, rangers, flyers, guardians, wraith stuff, falcon's, prisms, etc.

That's a good point about the morale. And dropping some spears will definitely free up some points. I don't really want to use Dark Reapers though since I used them so much last edition. I'm thinking Fire Prisms with the Linked strategem might be the way to go if I can free up enough points for them. Plus they fit into the saim-hann style a bit more.

I played eldar alot in previous editions, and got alot of good mileage out of fire prisms, vypers, jetbikes, shining spears, autarchs w/jetbikes and war walkers. I was about 50-50 with them, but felt comfortable and loved the feeling of aggression and being able to dictate events! Many say dark reapers are great, but I always went for speed and mobility over static eldar foot soldiers. Eldar can be fragile and temperamental, so to say, but when they are on, they dominate unlike any others! They really require good planning and coordination to really get the most out of them. Keep practicing and experimenting! Its fun with eldar!

I think protect/jinx from worlock would be useful. a 3+ invun on those bikers would give a lot mroe staying power. And jinx& doom can be very usefull too to help the scat bikes bring down units.

Maybe reshuffle battalion to: 1x 10 man guardians with shuriken cannon and 1x8 storm guardian 1xranger and drop one of the scat bikes to make room for that warlock?

The aeldari missle launcher wont be as useful as a warlock IMO.

The second list looks better! I think you need a little more psychic support, eldar really shine whenever you can get the runes of battle and runes of fate powers working in conjunction with your units of shining spears and jetbikes. I would drop your Alaitoc autarch and the singing spear from your farseer to bring 2 warlocks on foot. I would give one of the warlocks protect as mentioned by argive and give the other warlock quicken or enhance or empower depending on the opponent. Using quicken on saim-hann shining spears makes them the fastest unit in the game (besides a flier) so you can get them exactly where you need them to hit the enemy's weak spot with a hammer of laser lances and volley of shuriken fire. The hemlock will easily be able to follow the spears even if you quicken them to protect them from deep strike and help them hit a little harder.
