After losing rather badly the last few tournaments I decided to step up my game. No more "experimental" lists that I tend to do.

ITC missions will be played.

I have roughly a month to paint/purchase any models.

Batallion

HQ:
Sergeant Chronus – Whirlwind
Techmarine on Bike – Storm Bolter, Servo Arm, Chainsword

TROOPS:
Intercessor Squad (5) – Power Fist, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher
Intercessor Squad (5) – Power Fist, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher
Scout Squad (5) – Sniper Rifle x5
Scout Squad (5) – Sniper Rifle x5

FAST ATTACK:
Scout Bike Squad (3) – Storm Bolter
Scout Bike Squad (3) – Storm Bolter

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Relic Leviathan Dreadnought – Storm Cannon Array x2, Heavy Flamer x2
Whirlwind – Castellan Launcher

DEDICATED TRANSPORT
Repulsor – Heavy Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Storm Bolter x3, Twin Lascannon, Autolanchers, Krakstorm Grenade Launcher x2
Repulsor – Heavy Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Storm Bolter x3, Twin Lascannon, Autolanchers, Krakstorm Grenade Launcher x2

Super Heavy Auxiliary Detachment

LORD OF WAR:
Roboute Guilliman

Currently sitting at 1922.

General idea is to have the Repulsors, Lev, Gman, and Techmarine roll up the middle. Intercessors will be inside the Repulsors.
Scout Bikes hide or flank/harass
Scout Squads will harass more and deny deepstrikes.
Chronus will sit back and try to annoy people out of line of sight.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

A couple of options I am thinking of:

-Find points for an Assassin
-Drop the Whirlwind for Quad Las Pred for Chronus (drop a scout squad)
-Eliminator Squad
-Anti Psyker

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Hey man. You seem to be talking about competitive games. SO I'd shy away from the repulsors if you can. Repulsors are just about the worst unit in the game to get shot at with volcano lances and those tend to show up a lot in competitive games. I have 3 of them myself and they are unfortunately semi competitive at best (basically you have to know what army you are playing to even use them).

Also you absolutely need more infantry in an ITC setting.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Just thought with Repulsors actually making it into top 8 they had a chance. Oh well I really love their models.

Would more Intercessors be good? Or adding some Hellblasters+Ancient+Apothecary be better?

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Take a Knight Castellan yourself, then you will see your Dakka Repulsors near Guilliman eat through all kinds of targets almost unstoppable.

The only knight I have is a Gallant Plus I don't think I would be even able to paint and assemble before the tournament date lol

If you spend a solid 8-9 hours on a Sunday, and then spend 5 hours a night every night after that through the week... you can get it done before a tournament on Saturday. At least done enough to look good to play.

It's a pain in the butt to do it that fast though.

I'm not the world's fastest painter but I can drybrush like a mad man lol

Though I am not sure what even to drop for a knight. I feel like the Leviathan is to good to give up with Gman.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.
